Astronomy, Meteors, Ufo's, getting them on video and other imagery. Also, how to make a single decent image from a noise filled video and other tips will be presented on this site. We plan on showing mainly the equipment and software we have used.

Most of us can not afford expensive telescopes with clock motor drives, nor generation 3 night vision devices (over $1200 usd new). This is what I am researching, to find lower cost optics that meet the job requirements at hand.
One of my first experiments is getting a super low (.0001) lux bullet camera for a dual use purpose. Price ranges for this camera are between $150 to $200, excluding power / video cable, extra lens, and a means to get the video onto my PC. There is very little information on the internet covering this type of astrovideography or astrophotography. What I am attempting to do here with using a bullet camera for astronomy is cutting edge and mostly unexplored. So be sure you bookmark this site and come on back.
Use number one will be to observe and record the night sky and capture stars, satellites, meteors, aircraft, and ufo s in a stand alone mode with about a 40 degree field of view (FOV).
Use number two will consist of mounting this camera which is very light weight onto my 60mm x 700mm refractor telescope 26mm eye piece to observe and record stars, star clusters, nebula and planets in our solar system.
Update: The surveillance camera does not do well on my refractor telescope. A reflector telescope should do better.
I will be posting results in average laymans terms. I am not an astrophysicist after all. Results will include video and still imagery when possible.
Oh, you caught that did you, the ufo's. Yep, color me crazy, but there are unidentified flying objects being spotted and recorded around the world on a daily basis. Before you think I am totally nuts, remember, the key word is Unidentified when talking or writing about a ufo sighting. Most people these days wrongly assume because you say you saw a ufo, that you are saying you saw an alien spaceship.
Common objects in the sky mistaken as alien spaceship ufo s.
Night time:
Planets. Mostly Venus and Jupiter are mistaken as ufo s.
Bright stars. Sirius, Antares, Vega and other bright stars. These stars are often mistaken as ufo s, especially when close to the horizon as the atmosphere distorts the colors and cause these stars to appear to be blinking.
Satellites: Satellites are mistaken as ufo s as well as the space shuttle and the international space station. These objects are usually seen from a half hour to one and a half hours after sunset, or sunrise.
Swamp gas. I have never seen visible swamp gas or glowing swamp gas. If you have a video of it, I would like to see it.
Lastly:
ORBS in flash pictures or IR illuminated video. Most of these orbs are dust particles or insects.
Day time objects often mistaken as ufo alien spaceships:
Balloons
Blimps
Aircraft
Other human made objects.
Although I have recorded some strange objects, I can not conclude what they are. I do know there are things flying around that can not be explained. I for one hold the belief these objects are most likely supernatural, either of God, or of evil. I seriously doubt they are Alien beings like ET.
For now, I'll leave it at that.
